After months of discussions, formerly Relief Nursery of Collin County has changed our name to Strengthening Families of North Texas!
Our parent education classes, using the "Strengthening Families" curriculum will begin September 12, 2011, facilitated by Sherri Scott, LSW and Lloyd Wallace teaming up with David Marks. These classes start at 6:00 p.m. with dinner for the whole family and childcare is provided during the classes. This ten-week course is free to the families, however the families must allow home visits to help with assignments and child assessments using the ASQ's tools. After parents have attended seven out of the ten week sessions, Strengthening Families of North Texas will also provide "respite care" to families with children zero to five years of age. In addition, if needed counseling is available! Our services are free to all who participate.
